PJ Most current info on PJ... To everyone who cares about inclusion! Can you donate to keeping the PJ case alive? Discovery is being held across CT to insure that the schools are including students and making sure that the modest progress we made will not vanish. Many of major stakeholders have been tapped. Big donors include Arc/Connecticut, the Connecticut Down Syndrome Congress, We Belong, the Coalition for Inclusive Education and CCCD. The State of Connecticut has dismissed the Expert Advisory Panel appointed to report to the Court on progress under the Settlement Agreement in P.J. v. State of Connecticut, and has ceased systematic reporting on progress under the Settlement. Many districts are no longer willing to meaningfully include students or provide the staff with the technical assistance needed for successful inclusion. We are looking for smaller donations from every day individuals who care about students with disabilities attending their home schools and being educated side-by-side with their typical peers. Every dollar counts. The Connecticut Down Syndrome Congress is collecting donations via their website at http://www.ctdownsyndrome.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=167&Itemid=195. Thank you, Attorney Anne Eason on behalf of David Shaw, Esq. Lead attorney for P.J. et al, v. State of Connecticut Board of Education et al
